That’s how VoIP Works

VoIP Phone systems are in demand and there is a very good reason for it.  The biggest reason is the cost savings of the phone system.  The technology leverages the internet to allow you to make phone calls.  As long as you have a connection to the internet you can take your phone with you.  You no longer have to carry a physical phone. Soft Phone Apps can be installed on your cell phone or your tablet and you can make calls right from your mobile device.   The system uses your data plan to make the calls so you don’t use any of your minutes provided by your cell phone provider. As long as you are connected to a Wireless network you can make calls without using your data plan on your mobile phone.

VoIP Phone systems also the same if not better phone features compared to the POTS type systems.  These features are typically standard on VoIP compared to phone companies charging extra.

So are VoIP phones systems worth it ?

Absolutely!  The systems do require a stable internet connection and the call quality is excellent.  We wouldn’t recommend VoIP if you have an unstable network / Internet connection.  In case of an Internet outage most of these VoIP systems have a fail safe setting which will automatically call another number when system detects an outage.

What are the Cons?

The quality can suffer if the network isn’t right.  You should have a professional setup your phone system.
